The Issue

Atlantic Records was looking for the next great teen band. So they turned to us to promote auditions. In an era of instant YouTube stardom, we had to convince kids to take a chance and actually prepare an audition for something where there was no guarantee of winning or getting an audience.

The Idea

We focused on telling potential contenders that every great star began their journey to fame with one big break, and that this could be theirs. We also reminded them that it was an accessible, level playing field, and all they had to bring was the talent.

The Results

A lot of attention within the entertainment industry, and a lot of super-talented and hardworking artists who decided to take a chance. Will one of them be the next Charlie Puth?  Stay tuned. And, fun side note, I got to direct Bazzi in a VO session, which was really cool.
